The Taproot Agency Names Jon Edwards President

Florida-based marketing and behavior-change firm, The Taproot Agency, announced Jon Edwards to be named President, effective immediately. As President, Edwards will oversee the day-to-day operations of the business, as well as continuing to provide creative direction on all client campaigns. Agency founder, Sean Doughtie, will continue to serve as Chief Executive Officer.

Edwards joined Taproot in 2008 when the company acquired local advertising agency Signeo, where he served as Creative Director. He was promoted to Partner and Chief Creative Officer in 2010. Edwards brings over 20 years of industry experience, including the development of successful, award-winning campaigns, websites and marketing materials for various clientele. The Taproot Agency now serves clients across the country and internationally, ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 organizations.

The recipient of multiple industry awards, Edwards has executed design and communication projects for a wide range of companies, including adidas, Eckerd Kids, Florida State University and Polaris Industries. When he’s not behind the desk, Edwards serves on the board of the Animal Shelter Foundation. He is a summa cum laude graduate from the Savannah College of Art and Design and lives in Tallahassee with his wife and their young son.
