Not just another brick

Each person we employ is an integral part of who we are as a company. We hire people, not positions.

Every job has certain qualifications and skills that are needed, but we prefer to focus on unique aspects that would make someone an asset to our team. And, that doesn’t always fit with a laundry list of technical catchphrases. We are, and will continue to be, a collection of idiosyncratic individuals. That’s what makes Taproot different. That’s what makes us good. We’re always looking for talented, weird, creative thinkers.

We also believe in balance. That means that while we make our work a priority, it’s not at the expense of the things that mean the most to us. We believe in family, and all the good that comes with it. We ask a lot of our employees, but we won’t ask anyone to trade their families for their job.

Why work for us?

Flexible time

Take off when you need to. It’s your time; we trust you to spend it wisely.

Family first

We take this one seriously. While work is important, nothing should stand in the way of you and your family.

Health plan

Keeping you healthy is important. That's why we pay for 100% of your health insurance. You'll need it with all the donuts we eat around here.

401K matching

It’s never too early to start saving for the future – and we'll match a portion of your contributions. Hooray for free money.

Staff socials

We do stuff together. Fun stuff. From our spring family picnic to our annual Kitchen Cookoff, time away from the computer is good for the soul.

Snacks galore

We make sure the coffee is always brewing and the fridge is freshly stocked. A little 3 o’clock snack never hurt anyone.

Dress Code

We want you to be comfortable at work, so our dress code, which is on the lax side, reflects that.

Giving Back

From serving as board members at places like ECHO and Animal Shelter Foundation (ASF) to conducting drives for Refuge house, we love helping people.

We do mean family

We challenge each other and push each other to the limit. As they say, iron sharpens iron. At the same time, we encourage, protect and support one another. When one of us burns out, someone else picks up the slack. When one of us suffers the undue wrath of a client, we bring an army to their defense.

We’ve got each other’s backs – no matter what – and it takes a special kind of someone to enter into our circle. Someone who, for all their talent, knows how to balance swagger with humility, and selflessness with self-respect. Let us assure you, that’s no easy task.
