Meet Stacey

Now you see her, now you don’t. That’s Stacey’s modus operandi. Always working, though rarely at work, this closet introvert regularly bookends back-to-back meetings with downtime at local coffee shops, where the cacophony of thrumming appliances and muddled voices spur her productivity.

Among clients and team members alike, Stacey is known as a trusted counselor and advisor who routinely questions ideas until properly justified. That’s a nice way of saying that she isn’t afraid to drop the hammer. She calls it like she sees it, bringing order to chaos and transforming lofty concepts into actionable plans – sometimes all at once and with her three kids in tow. It’s kind of like a super power.

Stacey has spearheaded public relations and marketing campaigns for the likes of DONA International, the Mosaic Company, North American Properties, Rayonier and The Florida Chamber.

Prior to joining Taproot, she oversaw communications and fundraising activities as VP of external relations for a regional nonprofit and directed community outreach campaigns and legislative initiatives for a Florida-based public affairs firm. She began her professional career at one of the nation’s top public relations agencies, where she represented a range of clients in the hospitality and tourism industry.

Stacey is a summa cum laude graduate of Florida State University’s College of Communication and earned accreditation in public relations (APR) in 2007. She’s also a graduate of Leadership Tallahassee Class 27 and a former Knight Creative Communities Institute Community Catalyst.

When she’s not focused on Taproot or volunteering her time with local community causes, you can usually find her in the trenches of motherhood – standing over a stove, refereeing a sibling dispute, consoling a screaming toddler, or just hiding in the bathroom until the madness dies down (don’t judge). Thankfully, she runs regularly to preserve her sanity and relies on her faith to keep life in perspective.
